Hard wood briquettes have the highest heat and longest burn time of any solid fuel.  They will burn with a flame for a maximum of around an hour and continue to provide smouldering heat for up to three hours.  Briquettes are very easy to light using fire lighters or kindling sticks which can both be found in our suggested products below and they reach their maximum temperature quickly.  They provide a clean burn with no fumes or smoke and cause no sparks or spitting due to their very low moisture content of less than 10%.

Hard wood briquettes, or heat logs as they are also known, have a calorific value of 4600-4800 kcal per kilo, which is the highest of any solid biomass fuel.  They have a very low compostable ash residue of less than 1%.  Hard wood briquettes are a made from 100% recycled sawdust which is very highly compressed into uniform sized blocks.  This sawdust is a by-product of the sawmill industry which would otherwise go into landfills.  They are therefore environmentally friendly as no forestry is cut down to enable them to be produced.

The briquettes supplied by Liverpool Wood Pellets are ideal for a number of uses.  They are used in open fires, stoves, wood boilers, firepits, chimineas as well as pizza ovens and cookers.  Briquettes can also be broken up by hand with very little effort if needed for use in smaller burners and stoves where larger pieces of wood or logs will not fit.

If ordering a quarter pallet of briquettes you will receive 280kg in total supplied in 10kg packs.  Each pack has six briquettes with a uniform size of 28cm x 7.5cm x 7.5cm each weighing just over 1.65kg.  The consistent size of each briquettes makes them easy to stack and store in the optimum space.
