Temporarily out of stock sorry! Back soon.
Real Irish smokeless peat briquettes are part of Ireland’s heritage and have been Ireland’s favourite solid fuel for over 60 years. Made from 100% natural products, they are just as suitable for open fires as for stoves, and are easy to light. Peat briquettes have a long burn time and high heat output, and of course will create that homely feeling you can only get with the scent of burning real Irish peat.
All our peat briquettes are 100% genuine Irish peat. They are made from dried milled peat which is then tightly pressed to form a solid briquette, and as such they are a completely natural product with no additives, binders or colouring agents. The briquettes made in this production process all have a consistent size and are packed into standard size bales making them easy to stack and store.
Peat briquettes are one of the easiest, most friendly fuels to burn. Due to their low moisture content (typical 12%) they light easily with just firelighters which can also be purchased in our store – see recommended products below – and the briquettes are always the same size and quality for a consistent heat and burn duration. Peat briquettes won’t spit or spark and give a clean, high quality flame with very low sulfur emissions.
Peat briquettes will burn for up to three hours in a fire or stove but can also be used to rekindle a fire or keep a low fire burning overnight in an closed stove. They are as popular as ever for use in open fires and fire pits plus solid fuel cookers and stoves.
